Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy Residency

Through the Samaritan Institute, CareNet is working on a project to explore the possibility of developing a fifth year psychiatric residency in spiritually integrated psychotherapy with Baylor College of Medicine, The Danielsen Institute at Boston University, University of South Florida, and Wake Forest University.

An initial meeting was held in September in Houston, TX, where Dr. Steve Scoggin and Dr. Amy Singleton, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavior Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center represented the CareNet network.

The curriculum for this Fellowship is being developed. The program launch date is yet to be determined.  This program will expand the scope of care at local CareNet centers and bring psychiatric care to rural locations across North Carolina.
