CareNet and Wake Forest School of Divinity

CareNet Director of Center Development and Education, Bryan Hatcher, is an adjunct professor of theological reflection in the art of ministry program at Wake Forest School of Divinity.

As Bryan represents CareNet at Wake Forest Divinity, many connections to CareNet are created.

The goal of this course is for the students to end the year with the capacity to think theologically about the work they are doing, which mimics the goals of CareNet to integrate faith into counseling.

Many students may be exposed to CareNet for the first time with Bryan as their instructor. They often do not know of CareNet’s services or mission.

Some of these students may end up with an internship with CareNet or share with other students the opportunity to work through CareNet.

Bryan also shares his own experiences with pastoral care issues and mental health issues through case studies or conversations with students.

By allowing Bryan to serve in this capacity, Wake Forest Divinity recognizes CareNet as a professional group with the ability to provide solid theological reflection.
